My beloved Mt. Tam Church,
This is my new favorite thought that is keeping me centered in this busy time: “There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” (Albert Einstein) Who would expect Albert Einstein to speak of miracles? For me, the key is the first sentence: “only two ways to live your life,” which leads to a question: HOW are you living your life?
That’s the focus of my morning devotional time right now. Am I living my life in a way that reflects the love of God and the grace that accompanies me daily? And what in me needs to rise up in order to embrace life in that way?
As we move through this season of thanksgiving, it’s a good question to ponder. Am I living a life that reflects my status as a beloved child of God? Am I treating others the same way? And am I serving others that have yet to know this good news? Good things to think about as we prepare for Thanksgiving, Advent and beyond.
Peace,
Pastor Kim
