My beloved Mt. Tam Church,
Good news! We are coming back for in-person worship in the sanctuary! April 25th is our target date–with the approval of our request to Superintendent Rev. Staci Current and under current Marin County status guidelines, we are moving back home! At this time, legally we can accommodate 93.75 people–25% of the capacity of the sanctuary. We estimate that seating between 70-80 people, with family pods/groups socially distanced from one another is safe. We will all wear masks–follow protocols for health and security–open all the doors and windows–and celebrate being together again.
Of course, all worship services will be live streamed on Facebook, so those worshipping at home will be with those in the sanctuary. We will learn how to do this, as we have learned how to worship only online and worship outdoors. Which brings us to Easter–outdoors together with an orchestra, great music and hopefully, a sermon that celebrates the resurrection with joy and passion! Check out the Holy Week worship services–use the daily video devotional to guide you from Palm Sunday to the Easter festival. Let us give thanks to God for all that is to come!
Peace,
Pastor Kim
