Dear Mt. Tam Church,
This weekend, we gather for the Second Sunday of Advent as we continue journeying together through this sacred season. It is a time when we are invited to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. During this week’s service, we will reflect on the passionate call of John the Baptist, who cried out in the wilderness, urging all to prepare the way for the Lord. His fiery dedication reminds us of our own calling to embrace God’s ways and to seek peace in a world that longs for it.
This Sunday is also special in the life of our church as we dedicate our 2025 Plan for Giving commitments. Together, we celebrate our shared passion for God’s work, knowing that through our generosity and faith, we make a tangible difference in our church, our community, and beyond.
I invite you to bring your heart, your prayers, and your presence as we worship together, inspired by John the Baptist’s bold example and the promise of Christ’s peace. Let us unite in hope, preparing the way for God to move through and within us during this Advent season.
In Hope and Peace,
Pastor Luke
