Dear Mt. Tam Church,
This Sunday at 10:30am, we will continue our sermon series, “The Ancestors of Jesus”, by turning to the story of Ruth. In our time together, we will learn the many ways that Ruth’s story exemplifies the themes of loyalty, courage and the kind of love that refuses to let someone walk into an uncertain future alone.
My hope is that this Sunday’s worship will remind us that when the world feels extra-heavy and when problems feel too big for any one person to solve, that it’s vital for people of faith to band together and work as a team.
We will also participate in one of God’s clearest signs that we belong to each other… the sacrament of communion. If you plan to worship via the online live stream, I invite you to have bread and juice prepared in your home so you can join in on this sacred meal.
