Spiritually Resilient – 2021 Stewardship Pledge
We know that because we have been flexible, adaptive and true to our core values of spirituality and community, we are a stronger church than before. We believe that 2021 will be an amazing year of continued growth and giving for Mt. Tam Church! Please renew your commitment by mailing in your pledge card or by emailing the office with your pledge for the 2021 budget: firstname.lastname@example.org. We give thanks to God for you and the promises we are all making together!
How To Give
For the time being we are no longer meeting in our sanctuary due to COVID-19 and our shelter-in-place order. This requires a change in our current ways of giving. Donations can still be made by check and mailed to our church office: MTUMC, 410 Sycamore Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941. You may also use your bank’s online billpay program to let them print and mail the check for you. Donations by credit card can be made online through our giving platform by clicking the button below.
If you need to update your automated giving, please go to the “Manage Donor Account” link.
Permanent Endowment Fund
Mt. Tam Church has been blessed by the foresight of people in the past who created the Permanent Endowment Fund. The first contribution to the Endowment Fund was given by Blanche Jackson, who requested that the yearly earning of her donation be used to support our Christian education program. Other giving saints include Delphia Coan and Georgette Gilbert.
The Endowment Fund has now grown so that a portion of the earnings support our Christian education program, missions, and some capital improvements. In 1997, the church created the Permanent Endowment Fund Committee (PEFC). The seven church members, many with decades of investment and financial experience, manage the funds with care, so that our great-grandchildren will enjoy the fruits of these amazing gifts.
Giving for the future, whether out of current income or in a final way, allows the ministry of God in Jesus Christ through Mt. Tam Church to continue far beyond the times in which we live. Donations and planned gifts for the Permanent Endowment Fund are welcome! Contact chairperson Chris Hubbard through the church office for more information: 415-388-4456.
For those who wish to explore and learn more about estate planning and structured gifts, the California-Nevada Conference provides great resources. Let us know if we can be of help to you! Browse the California-Nevada United Methodist Foundation website for more information.
