At Mt. Tam Church we know that older adults are in a rich and active time in their lives. For the first time, perhaps ever, they have more freedom to choose how they will spend their time and energy. Some are retired, some continue to work. Some are engaged in community, enjoy volunteering or socializing. Some are in need of care and ministering to and with and others are able to offer care and ministry to others.
If you’ve found your way to this page, maybe you are a senior adult who is hoping to engage in community and find ways to serve, or maybe you are in need of pastoral care or looking for connection, or maybe you are someone who cares about an older adult and are looking for ways the church can play a more active role in this phase of your loved one’s life. You’ve come to the right place.
Here at Mt. Tam Church, we offer ways to engage in community through Bible study, small groups, outings, fellowship time and worship opportunities. There are ways to get involved in service by volunteering to work with our children and youth, providing snacks for fellowship time or a home cooked meal to someone in need, or by pitching in with other church members at the Marin County Food Bank, United Methodist Volunteers in Mission or Homeward Bound of Marin.
