Dear Friends,
As we delve deeper into our 4-part “Treasure” worship series, I invite you to join us for part 2 this Sunday, October 22nd. Last week, we began to reflect on the placement and investment of our treasures in life. This week, we take a closer look at a universal struggle – balancing our pursuit and desire for wealth.
Our Scriptures for this week, found in Matthew 6:24 and 1 Timothy 6:6-10, highlight a critical message: “No one can serve two masters.” We are encouraged to examine our hearts and minds, contemplating where we invest our time, energy, and resources. While money itself is not inherently evil, the love of it can lead us astray.
In our modern society, it’s easy to be enticed by the desire for more wealth, power, and possessions. This can sometimes cloud our spiritual focus and lead us away from what truly matters. I hope you will join us this Sunday as we explore the timeless wisdom of these passages, understanding the delicate balance between the pursuit of financial success and the pursuit of spiritual richness.
See you soon,
Pastor Luke
