Dear Friends,
Greetings as the days grow longer with more sunlight! I want to gently
remind you to set your clocks and watches forward by one hour on Saturday night as we “Spring Forward” together. Hopefully, we will all remember to do this so that no one arrives late for worship on Sunday.
As we approach the official season of Spring and the celebration of Easter, I invite you and your family to consider signing up to create an Easter “Blessing Basket.” Our goal is to provide one Blessing Basket to each family residing at Oma Village in Novato. For those who are not familiar with Oma Village, it is a 14-unit complex that provides affordable housing for families transitioning out of homelessness.
The purpose of the baskets is to supply these families with essential
household items, food, and treats. However, this initiative aims not only to provide material support but also to remind these families that they are cared for and not alone. Moreover, the baskets serve as a reminder of their inherent beauty and sacred worth, and that they are loved dearly by God. To obtain a list of suggested items and a basket to fill, please email Leslie Lee at [email protected].
On the topic of sacred worth and God’s inclusive love, this Sunday’s
scripture passage will emphasize the significance of recognizing that
each of us has a unique role within the body of Christ. I hope you will
join us as we reflect on this teaching from the Apostle Paul and consider how we can more fully embrace it in how we view ourselves and others.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
