Dear Mt. Tam Church,
This Sunday our worship service will focus on an inspiring story of inclusion and faith as we explore the ministry of the apostle Philip and his encounter with the Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8:26-40). This passage not only highlights a profound act of inclusion but also marks a significant moment in the spread of the Gospel across different cultures and lands.
Philip, one of the first deacons of the Church, exemplified a life of service and openness. His willingness to listen to the Spirit and reach out to someone from a different background shows us the boundless nature of God’s love and the call to extend that love to all people, without barriers. As we delve into this scripture, we will reflect on the importance of being ambassadors of Christ’s love, following Philip’s example of service and inclusivity.
Let us come together this Sunday to be inspired and to renew our commitment to serving others and embracing all of God’s children in the name of Jesus.
Looking forward to seeing each of you in worship.
