Dear Mt. Tam Church,
I hope this message finds you all in good spirits and health. I am writing to share some special news about our upcoming Sunday service on April 21st, as well as some logistical updates regarding our parking arrangements for the day.
This Sunday, I will be in Austin, Texas to officiate a wedding ceremony for a young woman who grew up in one of my previous congregations (I’ve known her since she was in 7th grade!). While I will miss worshiping alongside each of you, I am delighted to announce that Pastor Kim Smith will be returning to lead our worship and share a moving sermon entitled “Seasons of Love,” based on 1 John 3:16-18. Pastor Kim’s messages always resonate with warmth and profound insight, and I am confident you will be blessed by her preaching.
Additionally, please note that this Sunday, we have partnered with a local non-profit organization to support their Earth Day activities. To accommodate their needs, we will be renting out the back portions of our parking lot and the gravel lot to the side of the church. We kindly ask that you park in the front parking lot for this week’s service, including the spots usually reserved for School District Employees, which will be available for our use.
I encourage everyone to come together, engage in meaningful worship, and reflect on the enduring message of love that Pastor Kim will share. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the gift of community and the many ways that God is at work in our lives.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation regarding the parking arrangements. Let’s make it a joyous day of fellowship and worship.
Grace and Peace,.
Pastor Luke
