Dear Friends,
Imagine for a moment that every single person in your life had exactly the same outlook, experiences and beliefs that you do. While there may be moments when we wish this was the case, I have a feeling that things would get old (boring) very fast! In fact, when we think about the people who we cherish the most, they are often the ones who respectfully offer us different or fresh perspectives.
This week in worship, we will be looking at an encounter that Jesus had with someone who was on the outside. In this story, we find that the outsider was actually the only one who truly appreciated the power that Jesus had to transform lives. We will be using this story as a launching point to reflect on how we and others might come together not in spite of our differences, but because of our differences.
I look forward to sharing more with you on Sunday!
In Peace and Hope,
Luke
