Dear Friends, We have journeyed together during this season of expectation called Advent. There has been hope, there has been peace, there has been joy and there has been love shared among us as a family of faith. There hasalso been space for mourning and lament as we gathered for a service of the longest night Wednesday evening. After all of this, the time has come. Christmas is here. Below you will find our outline and liturgy for our relaxed Christmas Day service which I invite you to join in-person or online (I suggest in person if you can because there will be hot cocoa and Christmas cookies). Later today, you will receive the outlines and liturgies for our 4pm and 7pm Christmas eve services via email as well. I want to thank all of the staff, volunteers, musicians and A/Vtechnicians who have worked so hard to create 3 meaningful worshipexperiences for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I also want to thank each of you for supporting Mt. Tam Church with your prayers, your gifts and your presence. As someone who has participated in the life of more congregations than I can count, I want to let you know that Mt. Tam UMC is truly unique in the ways you care for one another and your neighbors. The spirit is so alive and at work in this place! This is a church not only worth attending, it is a church worth invitingothers to experience. It is my hope that if you haven’t done so, youmight extend an invitation to someone you know to join us in-person or online for one of our Christmas services. That invitation might just be the best gift you could offer to a friend or family member. Merry Christmas, Pastor Luke |
