Dear Friends,
As we prepare to gather once again for worship, I would like to remind
you that our October 2nd service will be part of the Christian celebration
known as “World Communion Sunday.” This special occasion on the
church calendar offers congregations an opportunity to experience Holy
Communion in the context of the global community of faith. This annual tradition has become a time when Christians in every culture break bread and pour the cup to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church. On this day, we remember that we are one part of the whole body of believers that goes far beyond Mt. Tam Church or the UMC.
After celebrating World Communion Sunday together in the sanctuary, we will also be celebrating the gifts God has provided us through our pets as we host a Blessing of the Animals from 11:30am-12:30pm. All well-behaved pets are welcome and we will have special treats available for cats and dogs.
I look forward to seeing you and your pets on Sunday!
In Peace and Joy,
Luke
