Dear Mt. Tam Church,
Grace and peace to you all. As we approach this coming Sunday, I am filled with anticipation for the sacred time we will share together in worship.
This week, we conclude our 3-part sermon series on Ecclesiastes by looking at the wisdom contained in chapter 5 of this insightful book of the Bible. During our time together we will delve into the theme of contentment and explore how the simple blessings of life, such as the warmth of the sun or the company of loved ones, offer us more joy and gratitude than material wealth could ever provide. Speaking of simple yet meaningful blessings, during worship, we will also be sharing in the sacred ritual of communion.
Therefore, if you are planning to attend worship online, I invite you to have bread and grape juice ready so you can participate in this meal.
As we gather to break bread and share the cup, let us remember the
ultimate expression of contentment and sacrifice demonstrated by Christ.
It is my prayer that this time of worship will not only nurture our souls but also reorient our hearts towards the profound joy found in what we already possess.
I hope to see you soon,
Pastor Luke
