Dear Ones,
With Independence Day quickly approaching, it is natural for us to start thinking about the themes of liberty and justice. Therefore, this Sunday in worship, we will be looking at a piece of scripture which speaks to the profound truth that our faith liberates us from the missteps of the past and empowers us to embrace a life of purpose, joy, and justice.
In a world marred by inequality, prejudice, and injustice, we are invited each and every day to align our hearts and actions with the teachings of Christ. To embrace a faith which calls us to stand against oppression, to speak out for the marginalized, and to actively pursue justice for all.
May we come together this Sunday with open hearts and minds, ready to explore the profound significance of freedom in Christ and the call to be agents of justice.
May our worship inspire us to be bold in advocating for the rights and dignity of all people, to work towards dismantling barriers, and to build bridges of love, acceptance, and understanding.
See you soon,
Luke
P.S. It is a communion Sunday this week. Therefore, if you are planning to worship from home, I invite you to have bread and juice ready so you can join us in table fellowship during that point in the service. Also, if you ever desire communion delivered to you, please do not hesitate to reach out to the church office and let me know.
